Wear On

In 2021, Vans soft launched WEAR ON. It all began as a way to encourage Vans fans to start a new chapter in the story of their old shoes.

We collected pre-loved shoes in special drop boxes in store and teamed up with non-profit Soles4Souls to redistribute the shoes to people in need - to wear or sell. Our goal? To reduce waste, fight poverty and empower people.

This year, we’re unleashing WEAR ON with the intention to create even greater impact. It’s our responsibility to help stop fashion’s “buy-it-wear-it-trash-it” cycle and show everyone the rewards that come from using what you have, loving what you own, and extending the lifecycle of your stuff.

When we all wear on - and on and on and on - we unlock a longer life for our stuff and a better future for the planet, as well as timeless looks and endless creativity. At Vans, we believe wear is a record, rips tell your story, and an individual’s style is their scrapbook.

Our campaign film is a celebration of what makes genuine personal style personal, and how it can pave the way for a better, more sustainable approach to fashion and consumption. It’s a call to break the cycle of more-more-more and discover a more authentic way to enjoy fashion and self-expression – a better way that’s focussed on extending every product’s lifecycle.

Wear On | The Workshops

We’re launching WEAR ON | THE WORKSHOPS - a series of in-store upcycling workshops, designed to increase awareness and empower people to rediscover pieces they already own.
The workshops will take place on April 22nd & April 23rd, it will be led by upcycling artists from the local community.

Once you've secured your spot, all you need to do is turn up with any old pair of shoes or piece of clothing you want to reimagine - so you can wear it again and again and again.
