Vans and CULT, two BMX industry leaders, reunite for the sixth time this season to create a footwear and apparel capsule designed to showcase the creative lifestyle behind BMX. Highlighting CULT’s signature hand-drawn illustrations in a classic black-and-white color scheme, the Vans x CULT collaboration delivers new renditions of Vans core staples to commemorate a longtime partnership between two like-minded BMX brands.
Founded in 2010 by BMX legend Robbie Morales in Santa Ana, California, CULT is best known for their straight-forward, streamlined bike frame designs and high-quality bike parts. This same subtle design aesthetic can be seen on the Vans x CULT Slip-On BMX-a Pro Classic silhouette that’s been upgraded to withstand the maximum performance needs of today’s most talented BMXers.
The iconic DURACAP™-reinforced suede and canvas uppers keep the design durable, while the embroidered heel details and custom screened logos add a unique vibe to this heritage slip-on shoe. Along with removable UltraCush HD sockliners and Vans original waffle outsoles made of a rubber that offers grip and support, the Vans x CULT Slip-On BMX brings an elevated look to a legendary silhouette.
• Vans x CULT collection
• UNRIVALED DURABILITY - Reinforced DURACAP™ underlays in high-wear areas add unrivaled durability to prolong the life of each shoe.
• CLASSIC GUM RUBBER GRIP - The Van Doren™ Gum Rubber Compound, made of a rubber that offers grip and support, is what attracted BMXers to Vans in the first place. This is the Sole of BMX.
• REMOVABLE ULTRACUSH HD SOCKLINERS - Removable UltraCush HD sockliners offer unrivaled comfort for BMXers.
• CUSTOM DETAILS - Custom embroidery and screen printed logos were inspired by CULT’s signature hand-drawn illustrations.
The added DURACAP reinforcement rubber underlays in high-wear areas are engineered to withstand the abuse of the vans pro skate team—and by providing lasting durability, save everyday skateboarders time and money.
Vans’ polyurethane-based ULTRACUSH HD sockliner keeps the foot close to the board, yet won’t pack out over time—providing our highest level of impact cushioning.
VANS ORIGINAL WAFFLE Outsole
Back in ’66, Paul Van Doren made the first soles of his new shoes twice as thick so they would wear longer and, unlike other shoe manufacturers, he used pure crepe rubber with no filler. That decision ended up defining Vans’ legacy when the world’s first skateboarders discovered how Vans’ now-LEGENDARY ORIGINAL WAFFLE outsole gum rubber compound provided superior board CONTROL and let them feel their board while staying firmly connected to it.
