A More Sustainability-Conscious Way to Prepare for the Unexpected

Our Future Currents VR3 collection is a nod to the waves that bridge generations and the deep connections we forge when spending time in nature. When it comes to building a more sustainable world that we can all share, we believe that “the future starts today.” Taking design inspiration from ocean waves, natural surface patterns, and Zen gardens, the Future Currents UltraRange Neo VR3 SF combines our sustainability-conscious, adventure-ready shoe with a fluid embossed pattern and intentional tonal prints. The calming palette seems to come to life on suede uppers, furthering the connection to nature and Vans’ goal to help preserve our world for future generations.

Our team has set ambitious sustainability goals. Big or small, all of our efforts add up to positive change. To earn the VR3 Checkerboard globe logo, at least 30% of the product must be made up of one or a combination of recycled, renewable, and/or regenerative materials.

PRODUCT FEATURES
• UPPER MATERIAL: Made with 100% recycled PET textile and regenerative leather sourced from farms implementing regenerative land management intended to promote biodiversity, enhance water cycles, improve soil health and sequester carbon. Vans leather products support responsible manufacturing via the Leather Working Group.
• FOOTBED: The VR3Cush™ midsole is made using at least 50% biobased EVA foam partially derived from plant-based sources per the ASTM D6866-16 testing standard.
• OUTSOLE: All of the rubber used to make this outsole (60% of the compound) is regeneratively grown natural rubber sourced from farms utilizing agricultural practices that are intended to promote biodiversity, enhance water cycles, improve soil health and/or sequester carbon. This natural rubber compound was developed and engineered to maintain the grip and durability Vans is known for (since 66).
